In gambling addiction (ludomania), the individual seeks intense sensations rather than explicitly aiming to win money. It is often accompanied by impulsivity, reduced control, self-blame, and self-criticism after gambling. Despite the desire to stop, there are unsuccessful attempts to restrain oneself. It is primarily associated with unstable emotional states and mental health issues.
